GuitarLogger.com is live!

Finally GuitarLogger.com is live! As a guitarist, musician and web developer, i've been wanting for the longest time to create a site for guitars. The concept is to create a profile page for your guitar and show it off to the world. Users can choose to either sell, trade or display their guitars on the site.

In order to post a guitar, one has to join GuitarLogger.com simply by signing into Google Friend Connect. Very very simple! No need to register if you have a Gmail, Yahoo, AIM, NetLog or OpenID account. How convenient is that! Members are not just limited to posting guitars, they can leave comments, rate other guitars, post photos and videos, and interact with other members on the site.

Users will find it very fast and easy to sell their guitars on the site. The form to submit is accessible on the site's initial page and all they have to do is describe the guitar, enter a price, enter their email address, upload as many photos as they want and submit! If the make and model of the guitar is not listed on the form, the user can create them on the fly.

GuitarLogger.com protects users from spammers by displaying their email address not as plain text but as images so that it cannot be parsed by robots that collect email addresses from the internet. If the user does not wish to display his email address, he can choose not to display it as well.

After posting, changes can be made by clicking on My Account on the site's navigation menu. The same form will appear for editing. More photos can be added or deleted from there as well.

Posting guitars, uploading photos, commenting on other posts, rating guitars are all logged as activities and as you sign-in with Friend Connect on other Friend Connect enabled sites, your friends can see your activities on GuitarLogger.com. This helps boost your guitar profile's visibility not only within the site, but on other sites as well extending to your friends' networks.

I'm so excited about this site. Please spread the word about www.guitarlogger.com and hope to see a lot of guitars posted soon!
